Our Cosmetology Program
Genesis Beauty School offers a modern, career-focused cosmetology program designed to prepare students for success in today’s beauty industry. This is not a traditional classroom-only experience—students learn through a combination of structured education, hands-on training, and real client interaction.
Our goal is simple: help you graduate with the skills, confidence, and professionalism needed to begin working immediately after licensure.
Program Overview
The Genesis cosmetology program is a 1,250-hour, full-time training experience that can be completed in approximately 36 weeks.
Students attend:
- Monday through Friday
- 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM
This immersive schedule allows students to stay focused, build momentum, and move efficiently through each phase of the program.
In addition to training, students receive:
- A digital learning experience using an iPad
- A professional-grade student kit
- Access to a fully functioning student salon

What a Typical Day Looks Like
Students follow a structured daily schedule designed to balance learning and practice.
Mornings are focused more heavily on theory, where students learn:

Afternoons are dedicated to hands-on training, allowing students to immediately apply what they learned.
As students progress through their learning phases, their day becomes increasingly focused on:

Student Salon Experience
After completing their Foundations and Formations learning, students begin performing services in our supervised student salon.
This experience helps students:
- Build confidence working with different clients
- Improve speed and efficiency
- Develop communication and professionalism
- Understand real salon expectations
