The Create phase is where students begin working with real clients and get to expand and customize their skills.
Students step into a student salon environment, where they begin performing services under instructor supervision.
What Is Create?
Create: Express
The Create pillar empowers future professionals to express themselves through their craft. Students begin adapting what they have learned, developing their own style, and applying creativity to their work. This stage encourages individuality, artistry and confidence while maintaining professional standards.
Students:
- Perform services on real clients
- Apply technical skills in real scenarios
- Learn to manage time and workflow
This phase helps students understand what it may be like to work in the beauty industry on a daily basis.
Working with Real Clients in the Student Salon
The student salon is a key part of the Genesis training model.
Real Client Services
Students will begin to perform a variety of services, including:
- Haircuts and styling
- Color applications
- Basic skin and nail services
All services are supervised to ensure quality and safety.
Building Client Communication Skills
Working with real clients allows students to develop essential soft skills.
Students learn how to:
- Conduct consultations
- Understand client needs
- Communicate professionally
These skills are just as important as technical ability.
Learning Salon Workflow
Students begin to understand the pace and expectations of a working salon.
They practice:
- Managing appointment times
- Staying organized throughout services

Instructor Support and Supervision
Even though students are working with real clients, they are not working alone.
